Your Trailspark Leads list in Attio
Overview
Trailspark Leads is a second, optional list: one row per person, showing who at your scored accounts is engaged. It is off by default. Turn it on from the Destination tab of the Attio page, after Attio is connected. Attio has no row limit, so this list never fills up either.
Turning it on
- On the Destination tab, turn on Send to Attio if it is not already on.
- In the Trailspark Leads card, turn the switch on. The card describes it as "Adds a second list with one row per person, so you can see who at an account is engaged."
- Under Which scores get a person onto the list, choose Hot, Warm, or Cold, and click Save settings.
Trailspark creates the Trailspark Leads list in your workspace and starts adding rows on the next update. By default only people currently scored Hot get a row, so turning this on doesn't flood the list with every person Trailspark has ever seen.
Account rows are always updated before person rows. If both lists have work waiting, your Trailspark Accounts list never falls behind because the Trailspark Leads list is busy.
Once you have saved, open the new list for the first time. On the Connection tab, click Open Trailspark Leads, choose Table under Start with a view, then use Add column to bring in the columns you want. See Connecting Attio.
Matching people to your people in Attio
Trailspark matches a person to a person in your Attio workspace by email address. A person with no email on file, or one Trailspark can't match, has no row yet. They are counted under "could not find" on the Connection tab, and Trailspark keeps checking. With Add missing companies and people to Attio on (off by default), Trailspark adds the missing person to Attio instead.
The columns
The person is the row itself, so there is no separate name column.
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Lead score | Hot, Warm, or Cold. |
| Score status | Current, or Merged. See below. |
| Buying-group roles | The role or roles this person holds at their account, as plain names. |
| Account in Trailspark | A link to this person's account page in Trailspark. |
| As of | When this row was last checked. |
| Last changed | When something worth noticing last changed for this person. |
| Trailspark link | A link to this person's page in Trailspark. |
Treat these columns as read-only, the same as on the Trailspark Accounts list. Trailspark rewrites them on its own schedule, and typing into one never changes a person's score. Your own columns are yours.
When two people are merged
When two people are merged, the row of the one merged away has its Score status set to Merged, and it is then left alone for good. It is never updated, deleted, or brought back. This is deliberate: a merged person's row is finished, not an error to fix.
Erasing a person's data
If you erase a person's data in Trailspark, their row on this list is deleted. That, and a person deleted in Attio (below), are the only reasons Trailspark deletes a row here. It doesn't touch their record among your people in Attio; that record is yours, and it is yours to remove separately if you want it gone too.
Warning
Erasing a person in Trailspark deletes their row here, but it does not stop them from getting a row again. If they are still a live, scored lead in Trailspark, a later update can add a new row for them, because nothing on this list's side suppresses them.
If you delete a person in Attio
Deleting a person in Attio leaves their row on this list behind, hidden from the list view. Within a day, Trailspark notices the person is gone and deletes that hidden row, so nothing is left over in your workspace. The health block then counts the person with the rows removed in your CRM, the same as a row you deleted yourself, and Restore all applies to it. This differs from a company deleted in Attio, whose hidden row on the Trailspark Accounts list is left in place.
