Your Trailspark Accounts list in Attio

Overview

Once sending is on, Trailspark keeps a list called Trailspark Accounts up to date in your Attio workspace: one row per account, and each row is one of your own companies. Attio has no row limit, so the list never fills up.

A new list opens without a view and without columns. See Connecting Attio for the first-open steps.

The columns

The company is the row itself, so there is no separate name column. Everything else Trailspark writes is scoring information you won't find on your own company records.

ColumnWhat it shows
PropensityHigh, Medium, Low, or Not scored.
Score statusCurrent, Retired, or Merged.
ICPThe ideal customer profile this account was scored against.

Account fitStrong, Partial, Weak, or Unknown.
Outside activityHot, Warm, Cold, or None: activity Trailspark sees for this account outside your own product or CRM.
Next stepRe-engage, Find missing roles, Reach out, or Monitor.

Merged intoFilled in only if this account was merged into another one: a link to the company it was merged into.

For what each value means everywhere, see the Trailspark Accounts overview. Build automations on Last changed and What changed, never on As of.

Treat these columns as read-only

Trailspark owns every column above and rewrites them on its own schedule. Typing into one won't change an account's score, and whatever you typed will be overwritten the next time that row updates.

Your own columns are yours. Add anything you like next to Trailspark's: a status, a note, a person to assign, a checkbox for an automation. Trailspark never writes, renames, or removes a column it didn't create.

If you archive one of Trailspark's columns, Trailspark un-archives it on its next daily check, or right away when you click Repair. Attio only offers Archive attribute, never delete.

An account Trailspark can't find in Attio

Trailspark matches an account to a company in Attio by its main company website. If no company has that website, the account has no row yet, and connection health on the Connection tab says how many accounts could not be found, so this is never silent. It resolves on its own once the company exists. If you would rather Trailspark add the company itself, turn on Add missing companies and people to Attio on the Destination tab (off by default).

If you remove a row

To remove a row in Attio, tick its checkbox, then choose More > Remove from list. Attio asks you to confirm. Trailspark notices within a day, stops updating that row, and the Connection tab reports it: "One row was deleted in your CRM, so we stopped updating it." Click Restore all and the row comes back on the next update, as a new row on the same company.

If you delete a company in Attio

Deleting a company from its record page (⋮ > Delete record) removes the company, but Attio's warning about references being removed does not take the row with it. The row disappears from the list view, yet it is still there underneath.

Within a day, Trailspark notices that the company is gone and looks for another company with the same website. If there is none, the account waits for its company record, and no new row appears. The health block counts it as a row waiting for its company to come back, not as a removal, and Restore all does not apply. It does not come back by itself. Once another company carries that website, or you turn on Add missing companies and people to Attio, the next update puts a fresh row there. Trailspark never deletes a row you can't see; the hidden one stays in Attio.

If you merge two companies in Attio

Merging two companies in Attio (⋮ > Merge records on a company's record page) does not break either row. Both rows keep updating, and both now sit on the one merged company. There are two identical-looking rows and no duplicate marker.

Within a day, Trailspark notices and raises one Review card for the pair. In Trailspark, go to Organization Management > Review. The card reads "Linked accounts. Should these accounts be one? Your CRM now treats these as one company. Merge them?" Choose one of:

  • Combine into either account: "Makes the other account part of ... and re-scores it." Click Apply, then Combine accounts to confirm. The other account's row then reads Merged, points to the survivor in Merged into, and is never updated again. The survivor's row carries on.
  • Keep separate: "These stay different accounts. We won't raise this link again." Both rows stay as they are.

Trailspark never deletes or combines a row for you.

Where your list and Trailspark's meet

Your own deals, notes, and anything else attached to a company stay exactly as they are. Trailspark never touches them. Each row on Trailspark Accounts sits on the company it matched, so that company is the one place the two meet: from the row, one click gets you to your own company record and everything attached to it. Trailspark link takes you to the account's page in Trailspark.
