Connection health
Overview
The Connection tab of your CRM's page (Settings > Integrations, then your CRM) shows one badge and one sentence describing where the connection stands, with an action underneath when there is something for you to do. Above it, a Setup checklist shows the three steps (connect, choose what Trailspark reads, turn on sending) and which one is next.
The badges
| Badge | What it means |
|---|---|
| Up to date | Your list is up to date. Nothing to do. |
| Catching up | Rows are being updated now, and nothing is lost while it finishes. Accounts and people are reported separately, and the estimate given is in real time. Catching up a whole portfolio can take hours, and the page says so. |
| Waiting | Your CRM isn't accepting more updates right now: either its own allowance is used up for now, or it is accepting updates more slowly than usual. Updates are waiting and resume on their own; the page tells you around when. |
| Finish setup | Nothing has been built yet because a choice is still open on this page. The sentence names it. Finish the settings below and save. |
| Nearly full | The list is close to the size your CRM allows. Nothing stops yet; it is a heads-up. |
| Full | The list has reached the size your CRM allows, so new accounts stop being added. Every row you already have keeps being updated as usual. |
| Needs repair | Something in your CRM needs fixing before the list can be kept up to date. The message names what is missing or wrong. Fix it, then click Repair. |
| Needs reconnecting | Trailspark can no longer sign in to your CRM, so the list has stopped being updated. Reconnect from the same page. |
| Paused | Updates to this list are paused. Nothing is lost. They carry on where they left off once you resume. |
Records Trailspark couldn't find
The health block reports how many accounts (and, if you've turned on Trailspark Leads, how many people) Trailspark could not find in your CRM. An account is matched on its main company website, and nothing else, so "could not find" usually means no company in your CRM has that website yet. Trailspark keeps checking, so this resolves on its own once the record exists. There is nothing for you to do, unless you would rather Trailspark add the missing company itself: that is the Add missing companies and people switch on the Destination tab, off by default.
If an account's main company website changes, its row moves to the company that matches the new one. Depending on your CRM, that can mean the same row moves in place, or the old row is replaced with a new one on the new company. Either way, nothing about the account's history in Trailspark is lost.
One related state you may see: a row waiting for its own company record in your CRM to come back after something else changed underneath it. This isn't an error and needs no action. It returns on its own, usually by the next morning.
Rows removed in your CRM
If you remove a row in your CRM, whether you delete it or archive it, Trailspark notices within a day, whether or not that row was otherwise due for an update, and reports how many rows are in this state: "3 rows were deleted in your CRM, so we stopped updating them."
Restore all puts back every row you removed, so Trailspark starts updating them again on the next update. Accounts that were merged away are the one exception. Those never come back through Restore all, because a merged row is finished for good.
Repair and reconnect
- Repair re-runs Trailspark's setup as a fill-in-the-gaps step: it only fills what is missing, never redoing or duplicating what is already there. Use it after fixing whatever the Needs repair message named.
- Reconnect starts your CRM's sign-in flow fresh. Use it when the badge reads Needs reconnecting.
Account fields and monday usage
On monday, the same tab also shows how many calls Trailspark has made to monday today, and, once you map columns of your Accounts board, an Account fields block with the last read, how many accounts have values, any column that could not be read, and a Read now button. See Read your account fields from monday.
